Michael Shuster, Daniel Goldberg, and Neil Lieberman Recognized by New York Super Lawyers

09.19.2013

New York—Holwell Shuster & Goldberg LLP announced today that founding partners Mike Shuster and Dan Goldberg have been named New York Super Lawyers for 2013. Neil Lieberman, a litigation associate at the firm, was recognized as a Rising Star in New York.

Each year, Super Lawyers identifies the lawyers who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Only five percent of New York lawyers were named 2013 New York Super Lawyers, and no more than 2.5 percent were named to the Rising Stars list.

Both Mike and Dan have been honored for several years by New York Super Lawyers. Mike has been recognized as a Super Lawyer each year since 2006, and Dan since 2010.

“It is only fitting that Mike and Dan’s outstanding litigation work continues to earn them perennial honors as New York Super Lawyers,” said firm co-founder and former Southern District of New York Judge Richard Holwell. “We also are pleased but not surprised that Neil’s litigation skills have garnered him recognition as a Rising Star."

With more than 25 years’ experience litigating the most complex commercial matters, Mike is widely recognized as one of New York’s leading trial lawyers. He was named a 2014 Litigation Star in New York by Benchmark Litigation for the fourth year in a row, and has been ranked as a leading litigator in New York by Chambers USA every year since 2005.

Dan has represented some of the world’s most prominent hedge funds and real-estate concerns over a 17-year career during which he has tried cases and argued numerous appeals in federal and state courts across the country.

Neil has represented financial institutions and other clients in a variety of complex commercial matters. Before entering law school, Neil was a Certified Public Accountant and worked with “big four” accounting firms and Fortune 500 companies for more than 10 years.
