Alison Miller to Moderate Panel on Defamation Law Hosted by the New-York Historical Society

New York—Holwell Shuster & Goldberg LLP associate Alison Miller will moderate a panel on defamation law hosted by the New-York Historical Society, taking place Wednesday, Sept. 7 at 6:30 p.m. at the New-York Historical Society.

With defamation lawsuits on the rise and several Supreme Court Justices suggesting the Court revisit its landmark First Amendment decision New York Times v. Sullivan, this panel will cover the evolution of defamation law across history.

Joining Alison on the panel will be speakers Matthew Schafer, vice president, assistant general counsel - litigation for Paramount, and Michael Adelman, copyright and content protection counsel at Dow Jones & Company, Inc.

Recognized as a Woman Worth Watching by Profiles in Diversity Journal earlier this year, Alison has litigated a wide range of complex commercial disputes spanning subject matters such as antitrust, contract, securities, and insurance and has played a critical role in several high-profile trials.

Practicing lawyers who register in advance will be eligible for 1.0 New York Professional Practice CLE credit sponsored by HSG.
