HSG Partner Daniel Horowitz Honored with Legal Leadership Award

01.08.2026

Holwell Shuster & Goldberg LLP partner Daniel Horowitz has received Profiles in Leadership Journal’s 2025 Legal Leadership Award, which honors exceptional lawyers leading their firms and supporting their clients and communities. He is one of only 11 lawyers honored nationwide.

Dan has helped lead HSG teams in industry-shaping matters, including defending Visa against antitrust claims brought by major retailers. He also represents Chubb in high-stakes coverage disputes arising from the opioid crisis and, more recently, from claims related to social media addiction. His team has secured major victories for Chubb in the Delaware Supreme Court and the Ninth Circuit.

Within HSG, Dan is responsible for coordinating the staffing and development of the firm’s 30-plus associates, working individually with each lawyer to ensure they are building the skills and experiences that strengthen both their careers and the firm’s client service.

Dan’s leadership also extends to HSG’s widely respected pro bono practice. In one long-running matter, he achieved an exceptionally rare “facilitated return” for a deported Cuban national after securing the vacatur of the removal order in both the Fifth Circuit and BIA. He has also represented numerous clients in civil rights cases, including securing favorable settlements on behalf of incarcerated individuals.

Dan’s profile was featured in the Q4 issue of Profiles in Leadership Journal which can be found here.
