For the second consecutive year, Holwell Shuster & Goldberg LLP partners Dorit Ungar Black and Vincent Levy have been named to Lawdragon’s Leading Global Litigators guide, one of the most selective rosters in international dispute resolution. The guide spotlights lawyers at the forefront of high-stakes cross-border litigation and international arbitration worldwide. In Lawdragon’s words, these litigators “dazzle with their fluency in law, language and global business alongside their commitment to the rule of law as a framework for addressing differences.”

Both partners have built practices centered around complex, multi-jurisdictional disputes, representing sovereigns, state-owned entities, multinational corporations, and investment funds across international arbitration forums and federal courts.

Dorit's recent work includes representing Brookfield Corporation in proceedings in aid of arbitration seeking injunctive relief preventing the draw-down on a letter of credit, and Air India in enforcement proceedings tied to arbitral awards issued against the Republic of India. She has also acted for AIMCo, a sovereign-owned investment fund, and Wells Fargo as a securities intermediary in nine-figure “cost of insurance” litigation, and has counseled clients in AAA/ICDR and ICC arbitrations spanning pharmaceutical royalty disputes and cross-border acquisitions.

Vincent’s practice spans transnational litigation and arbitration across the LCIA, ICC, and other leading forums. He has argued twice before the United States Supreme Court, most recently securing a unanimous decision in Waetzig v. Halliburton. His sovereign debt practice has taken him into proceedings against Venezuela, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Guatemala, and Argentina.

Honorees are selected through editorial research, peer evaluations, and nominations. The full 2026 guide is available here.
