Max S. Miller
Overview
Max Miller maintains a broad-based commercial litigation practice, leveraging a background in environmental and natural resources litigation, regulatory policy, and government enforcement.
During law school, Max gained experience in the U.S. Department of Justice’s Environment and Natural Resources Division, where he worked on matters under the Administrative Procedure Act, National Environmental Policy Act, and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA). He conducted research on coastal resiliency with Professor Katrina Wyman and served as a teaching assistant to Professor Samuel Issacharoff.
Max participated in NYU’s Environmental Law and Regulatory Policy Clinics, advocating for comprehensive environmental regulation at the state and federal levels. He gained litigation experience as a summer fellow in the New York Attorney General’s Litigation Bureau. Before law school, he interned at the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination.
