Overview

Tengge (Ivy) Xu represents clients in complex commercial litigation and arbitration.

Before joining Holwell Shuster & Goldberg, Ivy clerked at all three levels of courts in Canada. She served in the chambers of Justice Mahmud Jamal of the Supreme Court of Canada, and clerked at the Court of Appeal for Ontario for Justices Janet Simmons, Sarah Pepall, Jonathan George, and Patrick Monahan. Before her appellate clerkships, she completed a rotational program at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice working with trial judges.

Ivy graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, where she earned Distinction and was an avid mooter and author of legal publications. She also served as a Research Assistant to Professor Mariana Mota Prado, a Senior Editor of the University of Toronto Faculty of Law Review, a summer associate at White & Case LLP, and a summer fellow at the Legal Resources Centre in South Africa working on human rights and constitutional law cases. Before law school, she studied business and finance and advised clients at a management consulting boutique.
