Holwell Shuster & Goldberg Recognized for Second Consecutive Year by Crain’s New York Business for Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion

05.24.2022

New York—Holwell Shuster & Goldberg LLP has once again been named a finalist in Crain’s New York Business’ Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion Awards program, which recognizes the organizations and individuals who are “shaking up the status quo and delivering results.” The firm is one of only four law firms recognized as “Diversity Champions.”

In its profile on the firm, Crain’s notes that HSG has “embedded the ideals of diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout its external and internal activities.” As a few examples, Crain’s notes the firm’s commitment to pro bono work, which includes partnering with both the American Civil Liberties Union of Louisiana to bring litigation addressing discriminatory police conduct in predominantly Black communities, and the American Friends Service Committee to assert the rights of detained immigrants. Crain’s also highlights the firm’s investment in pipeline programs, such as the NYC Bar’s Thurgood Marshall Summer Law Internship for high school students, and in affinity groups and D&I-related programming, to name a few.

Winners will be announced at a ceremony in New York on June 16. Additional information about HSG’s commitment to diversity and inclusion is available here.
