Benchmark Litigation Names Five Holwell Shuster & Goldberg Partners to Annual 40 & Under List

New York—Five Holwell Shuster & Goldberg LLP partners have been named to Benchmark Litigation’s 2023 40 & Under List. The annual list highlights attorneys 40 or younger who clients and peers have identified as the most promising emerging talent in litigation.

Among other significant matters, their collective recent work includes the representation of Visa in multi-district class action antitrust litigation filed on behalf of merchants, as well as in opt-out cases brought by the world’s largest retailers, relating to network rules at the heart of the Visa system; a MacAndrews & Forbes company in a $600 million antitrust jury trial against News Corp.; Chubb in insurance coverage disputes, including nationwide disputes related to the opioid crisis; Sealed Air, the maker of bubble wrap, in a securities fraud class action in the Southern District of New York; Travelport, Petsmart, and Incora bondholders in creditor disputes challenging multibillion-dollar liability management transactions; investment fund Melody Business Finance in a damages trial involving loans defaulted on by a former hedge fund billionaire; Rumble Inc., an online media company, in defending a class action under the Video Privacy Protection Act; and the National Basketball Association in a federal antitrust suit, securing the dismissal of all claims at the trial and appellate levels.
